SOA thanks CM for considering demand for Multi-Purpose Sports Complex

GANGTOK, 05 Feb: Sikkim Olympic Association has expressed gratitude towards the Chief Minister for considering the demand of the sports fraternity to create a Multi-Purpose Sports Complex with office and car park at Fishpond near Paljor Stadium.
An SOA press release issued by its general secretary, Kuber Bhandari further expresses gratitude to DoNER, Government of India for considering the proposal and to the Sports Minister, NK Pradhan along with the State Sports & Youth Affairs Department.
The release informs that the estimated cost of the project is Rs. 11.32 crore, which has a two-level Car Park facility, Sports office, offices of Sports Associations along with Olympic Associations and Multi Purpose Hall at the top level.

The elective general body meeting of Indian Olympic Associations is scheduled to be held on 09 February at New Delhi for the election of office bearers of the Indian Olympic Associations, the release mentioned further adding that SOA president, CK Basnet and general secretary, Kuber Bhandari have been authorized to participate in the election process.
