Training on Credit and Assets Management concludes for SBS staff

GANGTOK, 10 Dec: A 3-day training programme on Credit and Assets Management for Officers and Staff members of State Bank of Sikkim concluded on 07 December. The training programme was conducted at the SLDB Training Centre, Deorali.
A press release informs that this was the 10th batch of a series of training conducted by the bank. Altogether over 200 employees from different branches of the bank were imparted with such training. The training was conducted with the help of experienced retired banking personnel from nationalized banks, it is mentioned.
State Bank of Sikkim is imparting trainings on different banking subjects to its employees. Main purpose of such training programme is to keep the bank’s employees informed with all new developments taking place in banking industry, it is informed.
Speaking at the valedictory function of the programme, Managing Director, State Bank of Sikkim, Hem K. Chettri stressed on the importance of providing quality customer service to its customers and urged all attending officials to implement the lessons of training in all branches for practical use. He impressed upon the attending officials, the need to bring a change in the work culture and to be prepared to accept any kind of challenges ahead. He also assured to continue providing training to its employees on various banking subjects regularly, the release adds.
Appreciating the initiative of the bank management, the trainees assured to work towards providing better banking services to the people. Valedictory function was also attended by General Managers and other Senior Officers of the Bank.
