GANGTOK, 17 Dec: Sikkim Nationalised Transport Drivers’ and Conductors’ Association organized a picnic at Water Garden on 14 December.
A press release from the association’s advisor, Dewen Rai informs that on the occasion the association felicitated its former president, Lawang Norbu Tamang for his contribution towards the association. The association also felicitated and bade farewell to four retired members Norbu Tshering Bhutia, Phuchung Bhutia, Khiluk Bhutia and Pema Namgyal Tamang. They were felicitated by SNT Chief Engineer, GT Lachungpa, it is informed.
In his address, the CE urged the members of the association to work with dedication and sincerity. The association’s president, CB Chettri also urged the members to serve the department sincerely.
The programme was also addressed by other senior members of the association.
