Ranipool food godown shifted to Lagyap

GANGTOK, 17 July [IPR]: The Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Ranipool Food Godown has been shifted to the newly repaired and renovated shed at Lagyap provided by the Energy and Power Department and it has become functional w.e.f. 10 July 2012. Earlier the food godown was accommodated in rented premises but had to be shifted temporarily to Central Car Workshop at Jalipool after the earthquake.
The Food and Civil Supplies and CA Department appreciates the gesture of the Transport Department for providing temporary accommodation in the hour of need and to the Energy and Power Department for allotting the present premises which is convenient for distribution of foodgrains under Public Distribution System to the public of Ranipool and surrounding areas.
