YAT to organize Bhumkor procession on Saga Dawa


GANGTOK, 31 May: On the occasion of Saga Dawa this year, the Yargay Association of Tathangchen [YAT] is taking out the Bhumkor procession from Tharpa Manilakhang in Tathangchen on 04 June.
The procession is scheduled move from Tharpa Manilakhang at 9 a.m. Lord Buddha’s statue and holy books will be carried around during the procession which is scheduled to cover Kazi Road, Tibet Road, MLA Hostel, TNA and White Hall.
YAT general secretary, Karma Denzongpa informs that this will be the third consecutive year that YAT is organizing this procession on the occasion of Saga Dawa. He further informed that the prayers and holy book recitation will start at Tharpa Manilakhang from 03 June itself followed by the procession the next day. YAT has invited devotees to participate in the Bumkor procession.
