Baba Ramdev’s Sikkim disciples hold simultaneous dharna

GANGTOK, 03 June: Members of the Sikkim-unit of Baba Ramdev’s Bharat Swabhiman Trust Sikkim sat in a dharna here outside the East District Administrative Centre in support of the on-day fast undertaken by Baba Ramdev and Anna Hazare in New Delhi today. Around 60 members of the organsation here participated in the dharna.
The said Dharna was participated by more than 60 members of the trust from across the state.
Addressing media-persons at the dharna, the BST-Sikkim president, RP Poudyal, explained that simultaneous dharnas have been organised in every state capital to support the movement initiated by Baba Ramdev. On Baba Ramdev’s call that black money from India stashed in banks outside be brought back to India, Mr. Poudyal stated that this amount [in the vicinity of Rs. 400 lakh crore], if brought back, could be invested in developing sectors like health and education.
He also iterated that the Samiti here would support the movement till the demand was accepted by the government. “The Government will take necessary action to return the black money, only if the whole nation is united in the demand,” he said.
