Teesta Stage-V power station bags Greentech Environment Award

GANGTOK, 24 Oct: Teesta Stage–V Power Station of the NHPC at Balutar near Singtam has bagged the Greentech Environment Excellence Award 2011 for “outstanding achievement in the field of Environment Management”.
The award, launched by the Greentech Foundation of New Delhi with the recognition and support of Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises (Govt. of India), was presented to NHPC by  RH Khwaza, Secretary, Minister of Tourism, Govt. of India, at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre, Srinagar on 20 October, an NHPC press release informs. The award was received by Nain Singh, Executive Director, Corporate Office, NHPC Ltd, who was accompanied by the concerned officers of Teesta V Power Station.
