Suspected drug peddler arrested in Namchi

NAMCHI, 16 Oct: South District Police nabbed an alleged drug dealer-cum-supplier on 14 Oct at Namchi Central Park while he was reportedly trying to deliver the contraband to customers.
According to PI Namchi, CB Basnett, the accused, Harka Bahadur Pariwar (23), a resident of Darjeeling currently residing at Boomtar here, had been under the police radar on suspicion of dealing drugs.
On information from sources, the police searched the accused, Harka Bahadur Pariwar on 14 Oct at Namchi bazaar and found 27 loose capsules of spasmoproxin. The accused has been arrested and a case under section 9 (B) 14 SADA 2006 has been registered against him at the Namchi PS.
The PI further informed that the accused is just a small fish in the pond in the big network of drug dealing that exists in Namchi. He also informed that the police are trying to get to the bottom of this drug dealing chain and some names of dealers and customers have been revealed in the investigation.
