CATCH camp held at Lower Tingmoo, 150 families screened

NAMCHI, 14 Oct [IPR]: A special camp for the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Annual & Total Check-up for Healthy Sikkim (CATCH) was organized at the Primary Health Sub Centre of Lower Tingmoo under Barfung constituency of South Sikkim by Department of Heath on Thursday.
Around 150 families from the ward No. 2 of Lower Tingmoo were examined by doctors from the Health Department’s South District unit.
No major diseases were detected, informs Dr. Sujata Gurung who was heading the camp.
During the programme, people were also provided with the facilities of X -Ray and blood tests by the Mobile Medical Unit.
The people have expressed their gratitude and satisfaction towards the Chief Minister and his government for coming up with such innovative programmes.
In the South district, nearly 150 such camps have been organized since the introduction of CATCH and about 23,000 people examined. [from Sonam Goparma, SIA, East]
