GANGTOK, 08 June: Singtam Police has arrested three persons on charges of stealing iron girders from the godown of a contractor at Sangkhola in East Sikkim on Tuesday morning.
It is alleged that 19-year-old Namgyal Lepcha of Lingzya, Dzongu, 35-year-old Md Banu and 35-year-old Alam Uddhin of Kishanganj, Bihar, made away with iron girders from a godown of a contractor, Sunil Agarwal, at Sangkhola at around 4:30 early last morning.
The three were arrested by the police and stolen girders worth Rs 6, 000 recovered from them.
