GANGTOK, 08 June: The scholarship section of the Human Resource Development Department declared the Common Entrance Test [CET] 2011 results for Bachelor in Engineering [BE] and MBBS courses yesterday.
Among the 612 students who sat for the Engineering CET, Abhilash Agarwal bagged the No. 1 rank by scoring 76%. Mr. Agarwal scored 152 out of 200.
He was followed by Subhadeep Pal, Vivek Thirani, Robin Singh and Chetan Koirala securing second, third, fourth and fifth ranks respectively.
In MBBS, a total of 637 students sat for the entrance test, among whom Satendra Gupta scored 80% and secured No. 1 rank. Mr. Gupta scored 160 marks out of 200.
He was followed by Garvita Joshi, Pooja Agarwal, Abhinash Sharma and Saroojini Divya Dhakal by securing second, third, fourth and fifth ranks respectively.
The results are displayed in the notice board of the HRDD and can also be accessed online at www.nic.in/scholarship.
Seats will be allotted after the counseling session and will be awarded on merit “in accordance with the reservation policy of the State Government”. Local candidates will get first preference over the candidates listed under the ‘non-local’ category in choice or selection of seats or institutions.
