MANGAN: Ninety children below the age of 12 years studying at Makha Secondary School were administered chicken-pox vaccination on 16 April in an immunization programme organized by NHPC Teesta Stage-V Hydro-Electric Project at the school. The vaccination was administered by a paramedical team from NHPC Hospital, Balutar.
Also on the day, the 32 beneficiaries from different villages, who had been treated earlier in Kokaley basti by NHPC, were also provided with free spectacles.
The function was attended by CMO, NHPC along with Dr Pumzey Denzongpa (DRCHO) from Singtam District Hospital, ward panchayat, Renuka Neopany, Assistant Director HR Division, NHPC, SK Sethi, Representative Yuva Jagriti Sangh, Kamal Bhattarai, teachers and students of the school, NHPC officials and the general public.
