MANGAN, 24 June: A 42-year-old resident of Pakshang village, Tumin in East Sikkim, committed suicide here at Tumin today. The victim, it is learnt, was undergoing psychiatric treatment and went missing from his home early this morning at around 3 a.m. Later, the family members found him in a nearby field where he had committed suicide by hanging. The deceased had recently been discharged from the hospital where he was undergoing psychiatric treatment, it is informed. The dead body has been handed over to family members after post mortem was conducted at the Singtam district hospital.
