Puppet show on health education organised at Singtam

GANGTOK, 02 Nov: A public awareness programme on Health Mission jointly organized by the Dance and Drama Division under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the State National Rural Health Mission was inaugurated today here at Singtam, East Sikkim.
Present at the inaugural function were HEO, Singtam District Hospital, Kishore Thapa Deputy Director, Health, PR Sharma and school co-ordinator, Kiran Basnet, Principal, Singtam Senior Secondary School, Tsheringki Chingappa, vice-principal, Jayshree Chettri, teachers and the students. 
A puppet show on women’s health, education and drug abuse was also put up by the artists, Nikhilesh Shankar, Dilip Mandal, Sameer Ghosh, Anil Majhi, Ajay Phuliya and Sujoy Phuliya from Dhumketu Puppet Theatre, Kolkata.
It is likely that the show will be taken to East Point Senior Secondary School, Golitar tomorrow.  [from NANDU DUTRAJ]
