Sikkim’s final Livelihood School opened

LIVELIHOOD SCHOOL FOR GEYZING-BERMIOK TO TRAIN SECURITY GUARDS
GANGTOK, 01 Aug: A livelihood school for security guards under Geyzing-Bermiok constituency in West Sikkim was formally inaugurated by the Zilla Upadhyaksha [West], BB Bista at Bermiok Bazaar today. The school has total 44 trainees.
In his inaugural address, Mr Bista highlighted that the unique initiative of Livelihood Schools at all territorial constituencies was to lead the youth here on a constructive and positive path by making them equipped for self-reliance.

He mentioned that due to presence of various private units in the state, there was a bright future for security guards in the state apart from other job opportunities outside the state.
The Chief Administrator, State Institute of Capacity Building, SD Dhakal, informed that this school was the 30th and last livelihood schools to be opened in the state.
He further informed that after training for three months, trainees will help meet the demand of security guards within and outside the state.
The inaugural function was also attended by Chairman of Child Welfare Board, Phurba Sherpa as the guest of honour among other dignitaries.
