SKM women’s wing observes International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women

GANGTOK, 25 Nov: Sikkim Krantikari Morcha’s Nari Morcha, its women’s wing, today observed International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women here at the party office and deliberated on various issues related to women and domestic violence.
An official SKM press release informs that the daylong programme was chaired by party general secretary [organization] Kala Rai and was attended by a large number of women party activists.
The meeting also focused on the importance of the day and highlighted issues like sexual harassment in the work place and public places in Sikkim.
SKM party has taken a firm decision that violence against women will not be tolerated in any form and assured that if any violence is reported, the party will make all efforts to provide justice to the victim, the release conveys.
