Tumin-Lingee marches in support of Sikkim Bandh

DIKCHU, 04 APRIL:  A 5 km rally was taken out from Dikchu bazaar to Marchak Lower Tintek today by residents of Lower Rakdong and Lower Tintek in support of the Sikkim Bandh called by the Sikkim Democratic Front.

Lhakila Tongden Lepcha (Member, State Planning Commission) joined the rally attended by people from all walks of life.
A short programme was held at the SDF party office at Marchak which started with the welcome speech delivered by BB Gurung, ward panchayat, Lower Rakdong.
In her speech, Ms. Tongden highlighted the reasons prompting the strike and called for support from all the people since the issues raised were in the interest of the future generations of the State.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by RB Rai. After the programme, the procession walked back to Dikchu.
