The people of Gnathang Machong constituency in East Sikkim are all set to adopt organic tea plantation at Thekabong Parkha GPU, Riwa Machong GPU, Rolep Lamaten GPU and Latuk Chochenpheri GPU. The experiment begins 23 August with a formal inauguration by the area MLA , Buildings & Housing Minister DT Lepcha, a press release informs. In the first phase, one lakh twenty five thousand saplings will be planted, it is informed. To begin with, 25 acres is being developed in the four GPUs for tea plantation, the release informs.
