An Inter House Chess Competition was organized at Government Senior Secondary School Soreng, West Sikkim which concluded on 01 September. Rahul Verma of Red house and Nijyal Sherpa of Green house were declared the winner and runners-up. Charan Subba of Green house came in third in the boys category. In the girls category Sardha Gurung of Yellow house was declared the winner with Srijana Timsina of Yellow house in second position followed by Pooja Verma of Green house in third place. All the winners and participants were awarded with medals and certificate. Soreng School will also be organizing a sub divisional level chess competition soon, it is informed.
