GANGTOK, 06 Aug: The National Urban Health Mission, Health Care, Human Services & Family Welfare Department organized the Inter Sectoral Co-ordination Meeting on “World Breast Feeding Week” here at European Hall, STNM Hospital on Tuesday. World Breast Feeding Week is celebrated every year from 01-07 August.
This time the breast feeding week is being conducted on the theme of- “A winning goal - For life”. This year's World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) theme asserts the importance of increasing and sustaining the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding - in the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) countdown, and beyond.
