Sikkim needs experienced leaders: SSP

GANGTOK, 06 Dec: Sikkim Sangram Parishad Party held a general meeting at Singtam Bazaar, East Sikkim today. An SSP release informs that the party president, Nar Bahadur Bhandari leveled various allegations against the ruling SDF party and its government during the meeting.
Accusing the present government of corruption, incurring heavy debt and dilution of old laws, Mr. Bhandari stated that Sikkimese will have to vote for experienced hands in order to set things straight in the state which SSP can offer.
Various government schemes started by the SDF government in the name of development has only led to the state incurring huge debt amounting to more than Rs. 20,000 crore, he alleged. He further alleged that Article 371 F will be lost if the SDF party is voted back into power.
The meeting was also addressed by SSP working president, Rajendra Upreti, vice president Sikkim Mahila Parishad, Sumitra Rai, vice president, Rinzing Namgyal Bhutia, general secretary, DB Basnet and others.
