Book Fair underway at Namchi Public School

NAMCHI, 17 Nov: A five-day book fair is being held at Namchi Public School, South Sikkim, from 15-19 November.
A press release informs that the book fair was inaugurated by the school’s Principal, Rev. Fr. George A. D’Souza who spoke on the importance of reading habits among the students.
He encouraged everybody to cultivate the habit of reading books and urged students to make books their companions for life.
The school has invited the neighbouring schools and colleges to visit the fair. Scholastic India Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of Scholastic International, the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books and a leader in educational technology, has brought in books ranging from literary classics to autobiographies & biographies, fiction & non-fiction and a host of International and national best sellers, the release mentions.
