CATCH is back

A weeklong second round of Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Annual and Total Check-up for Healthy Sikkim [CATCH] programme for Gangtok was held at BL House here on Tibet Road this week.
During the camp, participants were issued Health Cards after undergoing health check-up comprising Measurement of BMI, Doctors check-up, computerized health profile data, Laboratory test and Counseling. VIA test was also conducted for women above 30 years of age. On an average, 150 participants are covered on a daily basis.
Officials further inform that on the first day of the weeklong programme, a research team from the Regional Resource Center (RRC) for North Eastern states visited the CATCH Programme on the directives of the Union Ministry of Health. The research team also held consultative discussion with senior health officials on Monday evening for an actionable framework for proposed evaluation study of the flagship programme of the state. The visiting team comprised of Dr. Hitesh Deka, Advisor Public Health RRC, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, and Subash Khatri, Coordinator-HMIS, GoI.
