First Gurung film premieres


GANGTOK, 11 Jan: A Gurung movie, ‘Aage Thagu’, [elder brother] was released today by Chief Minister Pawan Chamling at a special premiere held at Mannan Kendra here at Development Area today. The movie is based on a family and how an elder brother has to cope with family problems and take care of the family.
The movie, which is the first Gurung film, has been shot in Sikkim [Temi Tea Gardens and Tarey Bhir] and in Nepal. It has Gaman Ghaley in the lead and Unika Gurung as the female lead. The story has been written by Golay Gurung and has been produced by Khil Bahadur Gurung. The length of the movie is about two hours and ten minutes.
Earlier, before the movie was screened, the Chief Minister also felicitated the people involved with the movie.
