On-the-run Manipur extremist arrested at Lumsey


GANGTOK, 04 May: The Sikkim Police in a joint raid conducted with Manipur Police arrested Komtham Jam Premjeet Singh [31] from Lumsey on Thursday.
Komtham Jam Premjeet Singh is a resident of Phiyang Konjil in Manipur and allegedly belongs to the banned Manipuri outfit “Kangkipaa Communist Party” [KCP]. He had reportedly been living in Lumsey since the year 2004 and used to go out of station on and off.
He is wanted in a case registered under section 307/34 [attempt to murder, attempts by life-convicts with common intention] read/with Section 4 of Explosive Substances Act at Porompat Police Station in Manipur.
