MANGAN, 06 Apr: Chief Electoral Officer D. Anandan today visited Mangan to take stock of election preparedness. During his visit, the CEO inspected the strong room and compound of Zilla Bhawan where the EVMs are stored and enquired about the proper functioning of CCTV cameras installed in the building to ensure proper security. Here, he directed that proper fencing of the compound with GCI sheets be carried out and necessary arrangements in case of power cut also be made.
The CEO also visited the control room at DAC complex and interacted with the officials where he directed that the presiding and polling officials should be provided with mobile SIM as per the network location. The Returning Officer North, TN Kazi and ARO, Raj Yadav explained about the functioning of officials who have been posted on election duty. Likewise, the SP North, RN Yadav explained about the law and order arrangements.
