SDF coordination meet in South Sikkim discusses Janta Mela

NAMCHI, 21 Jan: Sikkim Democratic Front [SDF] held an important coordination meeting between the Central Executive Committee (CEC), Constituency Level Committee (CLC), Panchayat and party workers today at Dalep-Reship party office under Temi-Namphing Constituency, South Sikkim. The meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of Area MLA, BS Panth.
The meeting discussed various schemes and benefits to be distributed among the beneficiaries during the Janta Mela on 04 February. MLA Mr. Panth stated that the opposition has been making an issue out of nothing, saying that the SDF party will not be able to conduct the Janta Mela.
“SDF is an organized party. It is a party of the poor and for organizing such a huge programme like the Janta Mela there is a proper system that has to be put in place. There has to be cross checking of documentation so that genuine beneficiaries are identified”, he said.
He further said that there are some who are unhappy with certain panchayats and party workers but not with the work of the SDF government and the opposition is targeting such people. Here he urged party youth and other workers to reach out to such people and help resolve their problems.
He went on to highlight the achievements of the SDF government and criticized the opposition for lacking any agenda except revenge.
During the meeting all the CLC, WLC and BLC members condemned a press statement given by SKM where it had claimed that 18 SDF supporters from Palak-Passi had left SDF and joined SKM. They alleged that the statement released in press and media is totally false and an attempt to mislead the public.
All the CEC, CLC, Zilla Panchayats, Ward Panchayats and the party workers and supporters under Temi-Namphing Constituency thanked Chief Minister Pawan Chamling for his immense and tireless works for the people and for bringing huge development in Sikkim.
The meeting was also attended by CLC President Shiv Kr. Sharma, CLC GS Das Tamang, Zilla Panchayat DR Khatiwara and other party workers.
After the meeting the MLA inaugurated the Stock Meat Center built by the Animal Husbandry Department near Tarku.
