GANGTOK, 29 Nov: Sikkim Himalayan Sporting Club [SHSC] beat UKFC Kurseong in its first match of the 5th LD Kazi Memorial Gold Cup Football Tournament today at Chakung ground in West Sikkim. SHSC edged past the UKFC challenge in the tie-breaker 05-04.
The full time of the pre quarter-final match played today ended level at 1-1 and the match extended into the tie-breaker through penalty shoot-out. SHSC boys netted all five goals, while opponent team missed one.
Next, in the quarter-final match scheduled for 02 December, SHSC will take on Army [Lucknow].
