GANGTOK, 11 May: After the auditions at Mangan,
Gyalshing and Namchi, the first round of Miss Sikkim Diva 2014 ended with the Gangtok
auditions on Saturday. The beauty pageant is being organised by event
management company, ‘Positude’.
The Gangtok audition was held at Hotel Tara
Palace and judged by a panel comprising of Gyurmela Bhutia, Bijay Subba, Pinky
Lepcha and Rohini Mukhia. There were 50 participants in the Gangtok audition,
some of whom were accompanied by their parents who had come to encourage them.
Gyurmela Bhutia explains that Sikkim Diva
is a platform for the girls here to showcase their talent and is also being
done for a social cause. The results of the auditions will be announced on 16 May
and the final round is scheduled to be held at Manan Kendra.
