MANGAN, 01 July: Sneha Kinetic Power Project Ltd. a project developer of 96MW Dikchu Hydel Project also observed the fortnight-long “Paryavaran Mahotsav 2014” in-coordination with the Forest Department from 15 to 30 June 2014.
More than 1500 saplings of different species were planted at the power house site at Dikchu, surge shaft area in Tanek village, North Sikkim and dam site area at Lingdok, East Sikkim and Lower Phodong, North Sikkim.
The saplings were provided by the Forest department from Pangthang Nursery. The officials from Forest Department Phodong and Pangthang were also present at the site during the plantation. The programme was supported by Divisional Forest Officer (T) North and East.
