GANGTOK, 01 July: Senior officers of the Department of
Information and Public Relations caught an employee of the department with a
cache of drugs and handed him over to the police today.
Ganesh Chettri, employed as a peon at the IPR department, was
reportedly caught red-handed by senior officials of the department today and apart
from being handed over to cops, has been terminated from his job.
Home Guard Dal Bahadur Chettri, who was also posted in the
IPR department as a security guard was also found to be an accomplice and was
handed over to the police. The IPR department has also informed the Directorate
of Home Guards about the matter.
Both have been booked under the SAD Act and handed over to
Tadong Police.
