GANGTOK, 01 July:
A 70-year-old man was hit by a Maruti van at around 4 pm on Monday at Duga. The
victim was left on the roadside grievously injured and bleeding. The vehicle
was later identified and traced at Jitlang. The driver Binai Rai [aged 23] of Jitlang,
East Sikkim and the owner Sakar Tamang [aged 26] of Duga, East Sikkim were in
the vehicle at the time of the accident. Both have been arrested by Rangpo
Police and the vehicle has been seized.
