RHENOCK, 27 June: The National Service Scheme unit of the
Govt. College Rhenock carried out a plantation drive in the college campus today
as a part of the Paryavaran Mahotsav, a press release informs. NSS volunteers
and teaching faculty of the college were supported by the villagers along with local
Panchayat members in the plantation drive. More than 150 sapling of 10 varieties
of ornamental and fruit bearing plants were planted. The NSS unit has thanked
the Forest Department for providing saplings for the plantation drive, the
release adds. Panchayat members of Rhenock GPU were also thanked for providing
manpower to the college to carry out the plantation drive effectively.
