Meanwhile, in a meeting held at the SKM party head office in
Gangtok today, Mr. Tamang, contended that several SDF members, realizing that
the SDF was losing the elections, were trying to join the SKM now. In this
regard, he announced that those who joined SKM till before the elections were
fine, but the SKM door was now closed for SDF supporters.
He also reiterated the SKM’s stand on one-man, one-post
policy and said that if the party decided to have him take charge as the Chief
Minister in the event of an SKM victory, another person will need to be
appointed party president.
