GANGTOK, 25 May: College level debate competition was held
at Sikkim Government B. Ed College, Soreng on Saturday. The topic of the debate
was ‘Is B Ed course really essential for becoming a good Teacher?’. The competition
was held as part of the institutional activity as provided in the curriculum of
Sikkim University as an activity for the partial fulfillment of the B.Ed Course,
informs a press release.
Two teams participated in the debate where the girls’ team
was led by Heim Shailey Rai while the boys’ team was led by Yugal Kishore
Khanal. The boys’ team won the competition and Yugal Kishore Khanal was
declared the best speaker. Both teams were awarded certificates and prizes.
