GANGTOK, 01 Apr: The SDF
candidate from Gyalshing constituency was today arrested by the Gyalshing
police and later released on bail.
Former Minister and
present Chairman, SB Subedi, the party candidate this time from Gyalshing, is
charged with house trespass and misbehaving with a woman in Gyalshing. Details
of the incident are not clear but official sources inform that Mr. Subedi is
accused of barging into a home and abusing a lady there.
Mr. Subedi was arrested following
a police complaint being lodged against him. He was later released on bail. He
has been booked under Sections 506 [criminal intimidation], 448 [house
trespass] and 323 [voluntarily causing hurt] of the Indian Penal Code.
