GANGTOK,
01 Apr: The Development Area Local Taxi Association has refuted claims of the
Sikkim Krantikari Morcha that the association has joined the SKM with its 75
members.
A
press communiqué issued by Tek B. Rai, the SDF youth president for Gangtok
Assembly constituency, contends that the Development Area Local Taxi
Association members today called on the SDF’s Gangtok candidate Hissey
Lachungpa and clarified that news of them having joined or supported SKM was
false and mischievously circulated.
The
association members, led by their president Gyampo Bhutia, vice president Binoy
Thapa and general secretary Kiran Chettri, instead reiterated support for the
SDF, the release states.
