MANGAN, 25 Mar: Three candidates, one from Congress party and
two from Sikkim Krantikari Morcha filed their nomination today for the upcoming
Assembly election. The two SKM candidates were Ugen Nedup Bhutia from Kabi
Lungtsok constituency and Dawa Tshering Lepcha from Dzongu constituency whereas
the Congress candidate Topden Lepcha filed his nomination from Lachen Mangan
constituency.
They filed their nomination today at the District
Administrative Centre Mangan where the Returning Officer (RO) North, TN Kazi
along with Asst Returning Officer, Raj Yadav received their nomination papers.
The Returning Officer after completing the nomination
process informed them about the norms and guidelines to be followed by the
candidates while campaigning for the election and further informed that the
last date for the withdrawal of nomination is 29 March before 3 pm.
