GANGTOK, 10 Jan: A weeklong recital of Shreemad Bhagwat Katha began at Sudunglakha school ground of Rongli Sub-division, East Sikkim, today. The recital began after an elaborate Kalash yatra was taken out from the Shivalaya Mandir to Nirmal Dham and back to the school ground.
Area MLA Puran Kumar Gurung was present as guest of honour. Guruji Rohitraj Maharaj delivered the Puran Katha and also sensitized the young on the importance of positive thoughts and work with the help of a power-point presentation. Different local clubs and bhajan singers performed at the programme as well. Shastri Premanandaji, Shastri Dhurbaje, Amarraj from Mangaldham along with musicians from Patna, Bihar are attending this puja. The programme will conclude on 15th of January.
