BODHGAYA, 20 Jan: The annual Nyingma Menlom Chenmo is scheduled to begin here at the Mahabodhi Temple on 31 January and continue till 10 February.
The Nyingma Menlom Chenmo, also known as the “Great World Peace Prayer Ceremony”, has been held every year at Bodhgaya since 1989, setting up a unique congregation of Nyingma masters, yogis, Tulkus, Khenpos, monks, nuns, Ngakpas, lay people and practitioners who assemble at Bodhgaya to pry together over ten days for world peace.
The prayers start on “Namgang Chechi” which falls on the first day of the twelfth month of the Tibetan Lunar Calendar coinciding this year with 31 January.
