GANGTOK, 09 Oct: The 7th Annual College Week Celebration of the College of Agricultural Engineering & Post Harvest Technology (CAEPHT) concluded today with much fanfare at the college premises.
As per a press release, Dr. RP Medhi [Director, National Research Centre on Orchids, Pakyong], was the chief guest of the programme which was presided by Dr. PK Srivastava [Dean, CAEPHT]. The Dean in his welcome address said that the college week is organized every year to encourage the all-round development of students. Such events will boost the morale of students, he said and thanked Dr. Medhi for guiding the college.
Total of 36 sporting events were organized during the college week from 03 to 09 October. In the literary events section were essay writing, extempore speech, memory test and spot painting contests. The students also participated in a cultural competition which had solo song, solo dance, duet song and group song competition.
On the occasion, eight class toppers were also felicitated by the college, the release informs.
