GANGTOK: A meeting of the central working committee of the Ahkil Sikkim Khas Chettri Bahun Sangh, convened on 18 March, resolved to hold elections for its central working committee on 22 April, with the counting of the votes scheduled for the same evening.
The elections will be for the posts of president, vice- president, general secretary, treasurer and publicity secretary, informs a press release.
All members of the Sangh with voter IDs are allowed to contest and only those members who have acquired membership till 31 March 2011will be entertained to file nominations.
Nomination forms can be obtained for Rs. 551 at Nepali Sahitya Parishad Bhawan till 31 March.
The last date for submission and withdrawal of nomination forms are 05 and 07 April, respectively.
