GANGTOK, 22 June: World Music Day is celebrated on 21 June
every year across the globe with various musical events. The Cultural Affairs
and Heritage Department celebrated WMD with folk dances and songs of different
communities here at the Mini Theatre of Mannan Kendra on Saturday.
On the occasion, artists of the CA&HD and local clubs presented
folk songs and dances of different communities of Sikkim along with Snow Lion
dance, Yak Cham and other items.
The celebration had CA&HD Special Secretary, SK Pradhan
as the chief guest along with CA&HD Special Secretary, RT Lepcha as guest
of honour, Culture Officer, Lata Rajalim and others.
