GANGTOK, 22 June: The State Cabinet sat on Friday and as per a post on the Chief Minister’s Facebook page, the following approvals were granted:
1. Detailed survey investigation and preparation of Detailed Project Report for drinking water supply for upcoming Airport City of Pakyong including greater Pakyong in East Sikkim at a cost of Rs. 1,97,75,360.
2. Construction of water supply at Majhitar in South Sikkim under North Eastern Council and State Plan at a cost of Rs. 502.31 lakh.
3. Sanction of Rs. 39.96 lakhs as payment of monthly honorarium to ASHA workers
4. Withdrawal of Sikkim Lokayukta (Amendment) Bill, 2012 (since rendered redundant) pending before the Central Authority.
5. Demands for excess grants for 2008-09, Annual Financial Statement, Estimates of Receipts, Explanatory Memorandum and Demands for Grants of the Government of Sikkim for the year 2014-15.
6. Sanctioned Rs. 44,96,676 for purchase of livestock feed for April, May and June 2014-15
7. Release of Rs. 97,56,800 as honorarium to 1,377 beneficiaries under Smajeek Suraksha Bhatta.
8. Construction of Scholars’ Residence at Namgyal Institute of Tibetology at a cost of Rs. 45,89,000.
9. Approval of the draft address of the Governor of Sikkim to the Sikkim Legislative Assembly in the budget session on 23rd June 2014.
10. White Paper on the State’s finances as on 31st March 2013 which is to be placed in the Sikkim Legislative Assembly to be held on 23rd June 2014.
11. The proposal seeking approval of implementation of roster/reservation in the matter of regularization of MR/Adhoc/Workcharged employees etc. only. Roster reservation will not be applicable in matters of employment of MR/ Adhoc/ Workcharged. Possession of Sikkim Subject Certificate and Certificate of Identification to be made compulsory.
