Golay campaigns in West, announces special projects for district

GANGTOK, 06 Apr: Sikkim Krantikari Morcha party president, PS Tamang [Golay] addressed an election campaign meeting today at Gyalshing in West Sikkim today.
An SKM press release issued by its general secretary [press/ publicity], Jacob Khaling, claims that at the meeting, 520 supporters of the SDF joined the SKM. The release adds that at meetings held earlier at Darap under Yangthang constituency, 450 SDF supporters joined the party as well. These people were welcomed in the party by the party president and Lok Sabha candidate, TN Dhakal.
In his address at Gyalshing, Mr. Tamang expressed confidence that the SDF will be routed from all Assembly constituencies and the Lok Sabha. He alleged that the SDF government has ill treated the west district by keeping it away from the mainstream.
Mr. Tamang also made various announcements for the development of West Sikkim. He informed that the party manifesto includes the Protect Wildlife Project for West Sikkim. He announced to build the national level College of forestry, a multistoried parking plaza, gym hall, high level community hall along with upgradation and beautification of Gyalshing bazaar.
Mr. Tamang also announced to create international level tourism facilities at Pelling, Gyalshing, Yuksom, Hilley, Barsey and other areas to put West Sikkim on the international tourism map. The other announcements includes shopping complex at Gyalshing bazaar for rural traders, a mini AIIMS at Gangtok and upgradation of Gyalshing hospital, ropeway on the Gyalshing-Rabdentse-Pelling axis, Gyalshing college building along with hostel and quarters, international level stadium at Kyongsa Ground within two years of the government formation and reopening of the murder case of Nandalall Sharma at Sakyong to conduct the judicial enquiry and etc.
SKM party president also announced to provide special financial package to West Sikkim.
