MLA inaugurates GPU level party office in Kitam-Manpur

NAMCHI, 17 Jan: The Sikkim Democratic Front today opened a GPU level party office at Kitam-Manpur Gram Panchayat Unit of Melli constituency. Area MLA Tulshi Devi Rai inaugurated the new party office accompanied by organization secretary Avinash Yakha, and the party’s South District general secretary cum In-charge RN Rai.
Addressing the occasion, the MLA urged party workers to use the party office to carry out welfare works for the people of the area following the programmes and policies of the party. She said that the SDF government in Sikkim has fulfilled all the basic needs of the people and the state as a whole is moving in the right direction.
“Now it is time for people of Sikkim and every party worker to give back and support the party for all it has achieved till now,” she added.
On the opposition, the MLA said that they will not be successful and SDF will win the upcoming elections as well. Stating that the SDF was a party that has clear principles and beliefs, she alleged that a group in the opposition is trying to mislead the public.
Organization secretary Avinash Yakha in his address said that SKM has no policies or programmes for the people of Sikkim and their only aim is to take revenge and blackmail the ruling government. He alleged that the SKM party is being run by outsiders and added that if it comes to power then the future of Sikkim will be at stake. He urged all the people of Sikkim to think properly before extending support to SKM.
The function was also addressed South District general secretary cum In-charge RN Rai and Zilla Panchayat KN Pradhan. The function was also attended by Panchayat President Ganesh Rai, Administrative Secretary Balvir Tamang, CEC and the CLC members and huge number of party supporters from Kitam Manpur GPU.
