Sikkim’s Sudarshan VP appointed Indian Cricket Team’s Strength & Conditioning Coach

GANGTOK, 10 Oct: Member of the Sikkim Cricket Association, Sudarshan VP, has been appointed the Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Indian Cricket team. The Association has welcomed this as a new milestone and big achievement for the cricket fraternity of Sikkim.
Sudarshan, who is in his early 40s, was the Physical Education Teacher at Paljor Namgyal Girls Senior Secondary School before he joined the National Cricket Academy, Bangalore as Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach in 2009. He also worked as a trainer for Sikkim Cricket Association from 1996 to 2008.
He was then appointed as the Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach from 2010 onwards. He was also the trainer of the India U-19 World Cup winning team in 2012 and toured with the India A team and India U-19 team to different countries. He has now been appointed as the Strength & Conditioning Coach of Team India.
SCA general secretary, Tika Subba informs that this is a big achievement for the whole cricket fraternity of the state. “It makes us proud that Sudarshan who was with us is now with Team India,” he adds. He further expressed his best wishes and congratulations to Sudarshan.
