CM mourns demise of former PM IK Gujral


GANGTOK, 30 Nov [IPR]: The people of Sikkim and the State Government have deeply mourned the demise of former Prime Minister of India, Inder Kumar Gujral who passed away today following a prolonged illness. The Late Mr. Gujral, aged 93 years, was the 12th Prime Minister of India from April 1997 to March 1998.
Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, in his condolence message, remembered Late Gujral as a visionary leader who was sympathetic towards the needs and aspirations of the people of Sikkim and said that his loss is a great loss to the nation.
“May God give the family members of Shri Gujral the fortitude and forbearance at this hour of sorrow and grief to bear this irreparable loss”, the CM has further expressed.
