Rs. 2,500 per month stipend fixed for Livelihood School trainees


GANGTOK, 05 Jan: All trainees enrolled in the various Livelihood Schools across the State will be provided with a stipend of Rs. 2,500 per month. This will be paid to them for the duration of their training period.
The State government will also provide the trainees with a set of uniforms. For a training of 3 months the trainees will be provided with a T shirt with a logo and those undergoing training a 6 months or longer training will be provided with blue shirts and trousers.

In its endeavour to further institutionalise the system of Livelihood Schools here, the government had also constituted the State Board of Livelihood School which is authorised to issue mark sheets, certificates and other testimonials.
The trainees undergoing training as Security Guards, in construction trades or any other training will be provided with other accessories required from time to time depending on the nature of training as well as safety aspects.
Besides those undergoing training at the State Institute of Capacity Building Campus will also be provided free accommodation in the hostel and meals. The cost of the food will however be paid to the lessee of the Canteen on actual basis.
