Guwahati International Film Festival invites entries


GANGTOK, 03 Jan: Cine Art Society, Asom (CineASA) will be organising the 4th CineASA Guwahati International Film Festival, 2012 from 05 to 11 February, 2012 at four venues Rabindra Bhavan, Guwahati University, IIT-Guwahati and Dibrugarh. A press release informs that the festival will showcase about 30 highly acclaimed feature films as well as short films from all across the Globe.

As it has been doing for the past three years, this year too ‘CineASA Guwahati International film Festival’ would hold a competition of short films from the North-East region and the short listed films from the entries will be screened under the ‘Eastern Shorts’ section in the festival, the release informs.
This year the competition will be held for both short feature and animation films. CineASA has already constituted a jury for selection of the films for the package as well as for the awards; two for the best short film and best direction and another for the jury’s special mention, the release further mentions.
CineASA invites entries from intending producers/filmmakers of short and animation films from the entire Eastern India region for participation in the competition. Films preferably in DVD format with a Demand Draft of Rs 500 favouring ‘Cine Art Society, Asom’ payable at Guwahati should be sent.
